Mother's Day

magic of the La Plata.....

We went home this past weekend for Mother's Day. There is just something about visiting La Plata that makes me feel all better. I shut off my cell phone, read good magazines and let the land watch my kids! Chad helped my dad with the tree fort and they played with the newest attachment for the kabota (sp?) the girls loved watching Charlotte's Web in my parents new fifth wheel. We cooked hot dogs in the fire pit while the boys fished, the kids paddled in the boat and Ms. Molly and I lounged under the Cotton wood trees reading silly books. I don't know if it is because it reminds me of dating and being engaged to Chad but, every time we go to my parents place it reminds me of how much I simply love him..............

oh the wind............my favorite type of weather. I love how it helps along my allergies and makes the kids all crazy and of course how it helps our kites fly high in the sky. When I was a kid I remember holding onto a kite string and just praying that it would pull me up into the sky. such a thrill........

{spring cleaning}

So when chad and I were 11 and 12 we decided to get married- it just felt right...............seriously we look like little babies! I was cleaning out my craft room closet today and found these beauties. I love being this man's wife........................

Easter weekend

wonderful weekend- We were able to spend the day in Sedona so we could have warm weather for a picnic and egg hunt. We also saw "How to Train Your Dragon" It was amazing. Thank you Chad for a great day.

featherin' nests.....

While visiting my mom Livia got to participate in a spring time project. She can't stop talking about going back to the land and finding the nests with the bright yarn in them. My mom saves all of her yarn from the projects she crochets and Livia scattered them for the birds to use as their nesting material. Love little traditions like this.
